Launch answer first
Stage Tour is scheduled for December 10, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. The game promises more than 90 licensed songs; 57 song names are confirmed in the September 9 official reveal. The purchase decision is less about whether the game exists and more about matching your platform, controller edition, receivers and optional drum hardware.
Platform decision table
| Target platform | Controller buying rule | Current planning note |
|---|---|---|
| PC | PC Kramer, Xbox Riffmaster and the broadest legacy range are listed paths | Check the current minimum PC tier and available USB ports |
| Xbox Series X|S | Use Xbox-edition modern hardware or a published adapter path | Do not assume PlayStation receivers work because they use USB |
| PlayStation 5 | Use PlayStation-edition modern hardware or a published adapter path | Keep the original receiver with Riffmaster and Rock Band 4 instruments |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | Use the Switch 2 Kramer or supported gamepad path | No official Stage Tour drum kit is planned for Switch 2 at launch |
Current US cost checkpoints
The official US listings reviewed show the Kramer controller at $109.99, drum kit at $199.99, MIDI hub bundle at $69.99, one-guitar game bundle at $129.99, duo guitar bundle at $199.99, Band Kit at $299.99 and Pro Band Kit at $349.99. The September 3 official community note confirms the standalone game at $39.99 USD. Local digital store prices can differ. See the DLC and subscription clarification before making longer-term purchasing assumptions.
Before you preorder
- Choose the target platform before choosing a controller edition.
- Run the compatibility checker for hardware you already own.
- For PC, compare the current minimum requirements and count receivers, microphones and MIDI devices.
- Check the official store for regional price, shipping, tax and fulfillment timing.
- Use the beta tracker for public access changes; signup does not guarantee an invitation.
What can still change
Exact beta dates, the remaining launch songs, recommended PC requirements, model-level legacy support and some fulfillment details are not fully public. The revision log records when those source states change rather than silently replacing them.
