DLC ownership and subscriptions
The September 3 community note says purchased song DLC will remain playable by its owners even if a music license later expires and the song can no longer be sold. That is different from promising that every song will stay available for new purchases forever.
A subscription is not the team's current focus, but the note does not rule one out in the future. No subscription price, complete DLC pricing schedule or future catalog guarantee is published in that announcement.
What the totals do not include
Regional taxes, shipping, import fees, optional cymbals and platform-specific store pricing can change the final total. The official shop also localizes currency by region.
Check fit before price
A lower bundle price is not useful if the controller edition does not match the target platform. Run the platform compatibility matrix, check PC requirements and USB planning, and confirm the launch platform before checkout.
Sources and status
Hardware and bundle prices come from official US listings. The September 3 official community note confirms $39.99 for the game; local platform checkout, tax and shipping may differ.
